Validation from my kids

Conversation #1:
Scarlett, looking at our wedding photo: Is that you and daddy?

Me: Yes.

Scarlett: You look like Elsa.  That's super beautiful.

Conversation #2, a few days later:

Nevin: That's great, mom!

Me, with a tiny bit of sarcasm: Thanks, Nevin.

Nevin: You don't think you are great, but you are.

I know self worth must come from the inside, but sometimes I need praise.  And hearing it from my children is just validating and totally heartbreaking.
